1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
Ecclesiastes 3:1-7
This passage is very fitting and comforting to me right now in my life.
There are so many things I want to do…but I cannot do them all, I have to choose.
There is so much anger in my heart and mind right now with this construction project.
I confess I’ve been quick to anger.
But perhaps it is now time for me to be silent.
The packing and sorting is getting overwhelming.
When did our lives get so big?
Why do we have all this stuff?
I must choose what I will keep and what I will throw away.
Its as simple as that…and it doesn’t need to be color coded.
{sigh}
It never ceases to amaze me how the answer to every problem or contemplation is in the bible.
If only we look for it.
