I recently became an iPhone owner.
I have never felt the call for an iPhone. Maybe it was the hype. Maybe it was the line around the building at 2am or maybe I just didn’t get it.
But Big Daddy made the switch 3 days before me and before I knew it, I was following suit!
Now, I don’t know what I was so afraid about.
What I love about my iPhone
– I love the voice mail feature. How cool to play the messages in whatever order you want!
– I have to admit, I like the apps…No, I’m obsessed with the apps!
– I love the touch screen. Easy to navigate, type…a mini computer. Love it!
– I love how my subfolders in Outlook sync up on the iPhone. My Blackberry didn’t do that.
What I wish they could improve
The battery drains fast. I have solved that for the most part by getting a mophie, but Big Daddy had to get three to just get through a business day without recharging. The battery needs improvement.
My top favorite apps
words with friends
Bookworm
Scrabble
TripTracker
Things
Grocery IQ
iBird Plus
Shazam
If you have an iPhone I’d love to hear what your favorites are.

I like the apps that my kids can use to learn the alphabet. I also like that it is so user friendly that my five year old has it figured out.
The battery does drain fast though, and that is frustrating.

LOVE Words with Friends. We should play!
You can cut down on the battery draining by turning Push off on your phone in Settings. Or at least monitoring the number of times the phone checks your email, etc. Do you really need to know when you get a new email every 15 minutes? Can you wait 30? Every hour? Go into settings and check it out. I turned Push off entirely so it would only check when I open my email. Just a thought…

YouVersion is AMAZING!
Yelp or UrbanSpoon are great apps … both give reviews on local restaurants.

I am still resisting the iPhone… I hate to leave Sprint since we've been with them forever, along with most of our family.
I love the features of the iPhone and am jealous of the apps and awesome camera. But I prefer the keypad on my BB over the iPhone touchscreen.
I have an iTouch, but it's just not the same.

I'm with you! It's my new favorite thing. Mostly because I understand how it works. Seems like it was designed for real people. It's multiplied my time and made life easier.
I'll check out your apps – always room for more. 🙂
