As a stay-at-home mother I sometimes feel unappreciated by my children.
Especially when I make dinner. They are picky little eaters…
Sometimes when it is time to begin our schoolwork and they’d rather play.
Mostly when I have to be the voice of reason when Daddy comes home from a trip, with candy spilling from his pockets and no sense of bed time, baths or brushing teeth. I know he misses them. I love that he misses them. But someone has to be the voice of reason, because Road Warrior Daddy is out of town 50-75% of the month!
So imagine my surprise when I came home from Blissdom to find this when I walked in the door…
And on the fridge
Need a closer look?
The sweetest part, literally, was finding this on the counter. Do my kids know me or what? Now I have breakfast!
Dare I say that Big Daddy doesn’t get a homecoming like this, although he probably should.
They love me. They really love and appreciate me!
I should go out of town more often!

Nothing like a couple of days away to allow the kids, and especially Dad, to realize just how much you do and how important you are to the family! What a sweet surprise for you! Enjoy the brownies! 🙂

Wow! That is amazing! Did you cry? I would have been bawling like a baby. Doesn't that make it all worth it? What wonderful kids you have. And that's all we mommy's want isn't it? I would take that over diamonds any time.

Sweet! But I had no idea that you liked mustard on your brownies! No wonder your kids don't want to eat your food! LOL They were busy little beavers while you were gone, weren't they? I LOVE this post!
