Lately I’ve been reflecting on the fact that I don’t often take the time to reflect on my life.
I’m far too busy with my endless To Do Lists and projects. Far too busy trying to accomplish, to reflect on what I have already accomplished.
So here’s my list:
I’ve survived childhood sexual abuse.
I’ve survived infertility.
I’ve survived divorce.
I’ve survived the harsh judgments of others, who know nothing about me, because of the generous hearts of those who do.
I’ve written a blog, and then another, and another, and another. After a childhood spent keeping my mouth shut and my feelings hidden—I’ve learned its okay to speak up and express myself.
I’ve been baptized (again) in the Jordan River and walked where Jesus walked…
I know Jesus more today than I did yesterday.
Each time I’ve been s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d by the Lord, I’ve been blessed.
Through everything that has ever happened to me, I can honestly say: It has been worth it.
God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.
Genesis 41:52

My beautiful friend, I love you so! I am so proud of you for opening up. I know your testimony will help others heal. You definitely have A LOT to be proud of! A strong marriage to a man who adores you, 4 healthy and happy children, a very promising speaking and writing adventure, friends who are inspired by you, the list goes on. Don't ever forget that you are precious in the Lord's eyes. Boo hiss to those who think otherwise.

I love the authenticity of your post… I'm all about being real, girl.
I'm sorry for the harsh judgements your received throughout your life… it seems like we just can't escape them. Praise Jesus that there is no condemnation in Him.
Big Hugs,
~Manda

I cry for joy to hear you say that it has been worth it all. Because it certainly has not been an easy journey for you, my sweet friend!
You know what I really adore about you, Karin? Y'know, besides your gracefulness, intelligence, compassionate heart and love of ceviche? You are GENUINE. I am so proud to be able to call you my friend. (even if my phone eats your txt msgs. bad phone!)
I am glad you shared your heart. There is much freedom in that.
Love,
Marsha

Oh, my dear… you are so amazing to me! I have to say that I am glad that you had those experiences too because they have made you the wonderful woman of God that I am proud to call my friend.
You really have a way about you that draws people in and you are one of the best writers and speakers that I have had the privilege of enjoying. Your message is so needed in today's world. It is obvious why God chose you to deliver it.
You are one beautiful, talented, giving, and kind-hearted shop-a-holic (hey, just keeping it real!) and I love ya, girl!
